Fuzhong Li, a native ofShanghai, is Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute (ORI). Hereceived his Ph.D. from the Oregon State University in Exercise Science andjoined ORI in 1996. Dr. Li has been Principal Investigator (PI) on twelveNational Institutes of Health (NIH)/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) funded research grants and co-PI on several others. His substantiveresearch areas include, but not limited to, falls prevention for the elderly,exercise training on balance, postural control, and mobility for people withmovement disorder, research-to-practice translational research, and builtenvironment influences on obesity and physical activity. He has published aseries of papers on randomized controlled trials evaluating the effectivenessof exercise interventions on a range of psychosocial and biomedical outcomes,and falls in older adults, as well as papers that deal with social and builtenvironment influences on physical activity and overweight/obesity. Dr. Li alsohas strong statistical and methodological expertise in multilevel modeling andgrowth curve analyses of longitudinal data.
